Hey y'all, just in case you missed it or sped past it let me answer some questions you all might have. - I wash twice with the clarifying shampoo, once with the moisturizing shampoo, and then I deep condition with a regular conditioner for about 20 minutes, covering my hair with a plastic cap. - I follow up with a leave-in conditioner and heat protectant while my hair is wet. - I use the Babyli...

    This video helped me a lot. I’ve been debating for a while about combing them out, but I’ve had some pretty bad relationships during my time having locs. And I think they’ve sort of just become associated with all these people that haven’t been good for me in my life. Something they always would compliment me on and looking back I hate how attached my hair has become as a part of what makes me considered good looking.

      I can actually document the journey once I start trying to grow it back if you’d like. I’ve never really done anything too special to make it grow tho.

    How did you get your hair to grow that long and why did you cut your hair

    • @TheTianaAlexandra
      @TheTianaAlexandra 21 день тому

      I just left it alone and probably genetics. I cut it because of split ends and postpartum shedding. It’ll grow back.

    I’m taking my lock out this summer and OMG I’m so excited. I watch this video just so I know what to expect when I’m at the hairstylist and now I know that the girl that’s taking up my hair she will need to get it really wet and I hope she knows that because I’m 10 years old and I’m not trying to lose a lot of hair because I’m going into sixth grade, and I ain’t trying to get bullied bro

    • @TheTianaAlexandra
      @TheTianaAlexandra 27 днів тому

      How long have you had your locs? You will lose the hair you weren’t able to shed while your hair was loc’d but it should be ok, shedding is totally normal even for loose hair. You’ll have to make sure your hair is really moisturized once they are combed out. Also don’t pay attention to what ppl say. Good luck with middle school!

    I needed this. I have locs and I’ve had them for 4 years now. They’re sooooo heavy. My neck has been screaming at me. I have migraines and lately they’ve gotten worse and I’m assuming because the hair is so heavy. I’m going to start my journey of taking them down in July

    Did you notice a difference in your curl pattern or its thickness after combing out your locs?

    • @TheTianaAlexandra
      @TheTianaAlexandra Місяць тому

      The first time I combed my locs out the curl pattern and thickness were the same. This time they both were the same but I did end up experiencing postpartum shedding, so I had to wait that out for a few months. That was hormonal tho so I don’t attribute that to the loc comb out.

    I want to get micro locs, but I want them really small where they’ll eventually mimic like loose hair. My hair is 4A fine and low density but I’m not sure if 150-180 is enough

    • @TheTianaAlexandra
      @TheTianaAlexandra Місяць тому

      150-180 wont give you the look you want for micro locs. You’re gonna want to up that number to get that specific look. You could try looking at creators with a 300+ loc range. Your number will come down to the size of your head and the other things you mentioned like density. I’m sure you’ll love them! Micro locs are so versatile and beautiful.

    You are beautiful with curly hair shape and the silk press bob. You really can pull off any style. Would you ever consider getting a short curly twa hairstyle? You have the perfect face for any style. I feel it will bring out your facial features more. The bob is definitely your hairstyle. The bob got body & bounce.

      Thank you! I actually wanted to go TWA short when I cut my hair and I’d definitely consider it because I’ve done it in the past but I’m enjoying the bob so much at the moment lol! Shorter hair is so fun and liberating!
